Frequently asked questions
What images work best?
Pictures where the background is a plain color or a smooth gradient, such as product photos, logos, studio portraits and signatures.
Does it work on busy backgrounds like streets or forests?
No. This tool detects colors, not objects, so cluttered backgrounds can’t be removed automatically. You can still use the Erase brush to clean up areas by hand.
Is the result really HD?
Yes. The cut-out keeps your original resolution. Images larger than 12 megapixels are reduced slightly so your browser can process them.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Everything happens inside your browser and your images stay on your device.
Why is a little background left near the edges?
Increase “Clean edges”, raise tolerance, or use the Erase brush. For a soft look, increase “Smooth edges”.
